About Limerick

Limerick, is a city of historical significance, vibrant culture, and modern innovation. Situated on the Shannon estuary, the city traces its roots to an 8th-century Viking stronghold. In modern times, Limerick, along with Shannon and Foynes, form an extensive port, pivotal to the economy of the region.
Limerick stands as a symbol of modern advancements, particularly in the domains of education, and technology. TUS (The Technological University of the Shannon), Mary Immaculate College, and the University of Limerick are esteemed local institutions that have greatly contributed to the city’s growth and reputation in these sectors.

TUS(website, location) will be our venue on the Saturday, beginning with a tour of the new multi-million euro Coonagh Technological Campus. TUS will be our gracious hosts in the afternoon for Workshops and other Conference activities.
